This odd spainish word which seems to just roll of the tip of my tongue. I never really understood what Duende meant. I always thought of it as the painful expressions the dancers make to show that they are in agony. I never really understood the depth that ran through that simple word till I read this site:

I may not have truely grasp the full meaning of having duende but at least my knowledge of what it's suppose to be has widen somewhat. Now,I just have to try to obtain it somehow.

I've learnt spanish dancing for almost three years now, but still I cannot seem to describe to anyone what it is. I seem the lack of knowledge for the type of dances I do whether Flamenco or ballet and I find it rather quite..annoying. I want to learn more about them yet, don't seem to know how and where to start. My teachers say to put all I've got into it, but half the time, I feel stupid doing so. I blame it on self-conciousness. I mean as a 2 year-old kid I could walk around Orchard Road in my undies and not be ashamed. However when it comes to dance, I have to be modest?! I dont't want to be shy and awkward when I dance.. I want to be free and let my emotions flow though my movements. I want people to watch me and go,"Wow. She really looks amazing." I want to reach out to people and make them feel what I feel. I want to learn and make my teachers proud. Is it that hard?


So, maybe it's a far-fetched dream for a 13-year old kid like me.


But, I'll make it happen. Someday, some how..I will. I'll try my best, just watch me!
